Miners Picnic Day 2024 Dates. The 158th edition of northumberland miners’ picnic will see visitors return to woodhorn museum for a day of live music, performance, and family friendly activities. The miner's picnic, which dates back to an 1895 benefit for the families of deceased miners, returns to empire mine state park on august 24th.
